PartyGem is an MVP event platform for discovering, hosting, and attending events. Current core features include:

• Event Discovery: Browse and search events
• Event Creation: Create, manage, and update event listings
• RSVP & Attendance: Track intent and attendance status
• Ticketing: Paid tickets powered by Stripe
• Event Forums: Organizer/attendee discussions on event pages
• Confidential Events: Optional NDA acceptance before access

Features may evolve during MVP and some functionality may be limited or in beta.

Ticket purchases are processed through Stripe. Organizers control ticket tiers, prices, and availability.

• Payments are handled by Stripe and may be subject to Stripe’s terms
• PartyGem does not store full payment card details
• Any applicable platform fees are shown before checkout
• Organizers are responsible for tax reporting and compliance

Refund eligibility and timing are determined by event organizers and displayed on event pages.

• Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe
• Processing times may vary depending on Stripe and your bank
• Event cancellations may trigger automatic refunds at the organizer’s discretion

• Transactional: Account verification, ticket confirmations, event updates
• Event Notifications: RSVPs, reminders, changes (when enabled)
• Marketing: Optional and opt-in only
• Security: Login notifications, suspicious activity alerts

• You are responsible for content you post (events, messages, media)
• We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws
• We may use automated or manual checks to reduce spam and abuse

We collect only the data necessary to provide the MVP:

• Account information (email, name, profile data)
• Event data (descriptions, dates, locations)
• Payment data (processed securely by Stripe)

7.1 NDAs for Confidential Events

• Organizers may require attendees to accept a custom Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
• By accepting an NDA, you agree to be legally bound by its terms
• PartyGem records NDA acceptance to support event access and compliance

• The actual events, their quality, safety, or outcomes
• Disputes between organizers and attendees
• Payment issues beyond our control (e.g., Stripe outages)
• Damages arising from event cancellations or modifications
• User-generated content or its accuracy

8.1 Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any claims related to our service is limited to the fees you've paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8.2 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify PartyGem from any claims arising from your use of the service, your events, or your violation of these terms.

You may not use PartyGem for:

10.1 Voluntary Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination:

• Access to the platform will be revoked
• Data will be deleted according to our retention policy
• Outstanding subscription and payment obligations remain
• Active events may be transferred or cancelled

10.2 Involuntary Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these terms
• Illegal activities or fraudulent behavior
• Excessive chargebacks or disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's Commercial Arbitration Rules.
